Rotator Cuff Tear
What Is the Rotator Cuff?
Connecting the upper arm to the shoulder blade, the rotator cuff is a group of tendons and muscles in the shoulder. While the tendons provide stability to the shoulder, the muscles allow the shoulder to rotate. Together, these tendons and muscles form a strong cuff around the upper arm. As a result, the rotator cuff is prone to injury.
