The orthopedic spine surgeons and the experienced medical team at Advanced Spine & Orthopedics treat a number of neck pain and neck injury complaints. Our surgeons will always consider conservative treatments first. If conservative methods are not working, or if the initial level of injury is severe, then neck surgery may be required.
If neck surgery is required, our spine surgeons will utilize the latest medical advances in surgically treating the neck injury. Our team is experienced and knowledgeable in neck surgery techniques that will effectively get you back to normal.

Anterior Cervical Discectomy & Fusion (ACDF)
When surgery is required to correct a herniated disc or a degenerative disc in the neck area, Anterior Cervical Discectomy & Fusion is the most common procedure used for neck surgery. In this procedure, the orthopedic spine surgeon enters the neck from the front to remove a spinal vertebral bone or lamina. The discs are then fused together. Dr. James and his team are highly experienced in this procedure.
Cervical Laminectomy
Typically used to surgically treat cervical stenosis, a cervical laminectomy can remove the spine disc that is pressing against the nerves of the spinal cord. Once the affected portion of the lamina is removed, more space is created for the spinal cord and nerves. As a spine surgeon and expert in the neck and back area, Dr. James is well-versed in this surgical procedure and others.
